Through the practice of meditation, we glimpse unconditional goodness as the ground of our existence. Opening to ourselves with gentleness and appreciation, we begin to see our potential as genuine and compassionate human beings.
This weekend meditation intensive is the essential first step for entering the Shambhala Training path of bravery and gentleness. The Art of Being Human introduces mindfulness-awareness meditation in a secular context and vocabulary. Engaging the mind, we glimpse the world’s magic without conceptual filters, and begin to discover a basic goodness which is always present.
First time meditators are welcome!
The weekend retreat will be taught in English with French translation provided as needed. As much as possible, individual instruction and discussion groups will be in French as well.
A light breakfast, tea snacks, and a closing reception will be provided. Retreat participants are invited to either bring their own lunch or eat out at a local restaurant.
